Every candidate on a development programme completes the Engage Diagnostic. As a self-assessment tool, it measures internal thinking and beliefs. The resulting reports provide a wealth of information relating to those thoughts/beliefs which accelerate performance, and those which inhibit performance.

Engage  is empirically validated, robust and proven. Based on Cognitive Behavioural Psychology it assesses internal thoughts and beliefs shown to be key to success. The resulting guidance, feedback and development process is based on Coaching Psychology – providing a robust methodology to development.

Engage measures an individual’s mind-set across fifteen success scales summarised across three broad headings:

  • Confidence – relating to self, task and social situations
  • Openness – relating to communication, change and process
  • Impact – relating to perceived commitment and performance.

There are a range of reports available, depending on the scope of the programme;

  • Focus Report – designed more as a light touch, it focuses the individual on three key areas for development with a guided process to write a personalised development plan.
  • Candidate Report – summarises in a few pages the results from the diagnostic tool.
  • Self Development Report – designed to support development programmes and for self-coaching purposes, where one-to-one coaching is impractical. Particularly useful for delivery to a larger audience. Adapted for participant use, contents are similar to the Coach Report, providing a detailed coaching template, highlighting development priorities with descriptive narratives, feedback and guidance on how to work with the report contents. The user is encouraged to capture key reflections for on-going learning. At the end of the report there is a Personal Development Plan template for setting objectives and measuring progress.
  • Impact Report – shows degree of shift over time, allowing for clarity around return on investment (ROI).
